These meatballs are based on a recipe from a Moroccan cookbook we received as a wedding present. From memory, it was the senior recipe tester who cooked the original recipe first, not me. Since that time, we’ve found many excuses to cook them.
And so now, we can cook them for you. Flavoured with the delicious spices of Northern Africa, they won’t frighten younger diners, but won’t make you feel like you’re eating, er, how shall we put this, ‘kiddie dinner’?
Our meatballs are handrolled from premium beef mince, seared on the hotplate and then simmered in a rich, tomato sauce.

Ingredients: Crushed tomatoes, premium beef mince, onion, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, olive oil, sweet paprika, turmeric, ground coriander, ground cumin, pepper
