This pie comes via the kitchen of our Kate’s Mum Carol. Kate and Carol have graciously shared their family recipe with us and we think this hearty pie is delicious.
Slow cooked, the way we love to cook our pie fillings, we reckon this pie will make your family as happy as Kate’s! Like the other Dinner on the Table pies, this one is frozen so the housemade pastry stays fresh. Cook it from frozen in a moderately hot oven in around an hour. You get to cook it so you get to enjoy delicious pie-I-just-whipped-up-myself smell at your house as you put it on your table.
Ingredients: Beef, bacon, mushrooms, onion, carrot, peas, vegetable stock (housemade), dried oregano, plain flour, onion, celery, carrot, butter, egg, tomato paste, garlic, caster sugar, Worcestershire sauce, cornflour, thyme, salt, pepper
