I know. It’s a most ridiculous name. But I didn’t know how else to describe the delicious cheese crouton-y things that are a necessity with French Onion Soup. Sending them packaged in the soup would hardly be the thing, would it? Nor did I know what to call them: homemade bread base topped with mozzarella and a little parmesan.
The bread will come to you ready for 10 mins (give or take) in your hot oven. The result? Delicious cheese crouton-y thing you made yourself. (And here’s another tip: Cut in wedges it makes a great scooping tool for any number of meals.) Can be frozen for future scooping activity.
One size, feeds 1-2 adults.
