A good pie is a bit of an institution for Dinner on the Table. Pasties are our way of providing you with an individual size pie, pleasing in shape and form in a rustic, made-from-scratch way. They also come to you like this because I haven’t found an individual pie tin with which I am pleased.

I’ve already told you about my pastie incident involving a vicious and over-sized seagull. While the footprints on my head have healed nicely my psyche clearly still has some way to go… I keep banging on about it.

Like its lamb cousin, which was vacuumed up off the menu in a few short days (take heed if you’d like to order these… stocks are limited), this is a good pastie. Premium beef mince, lots of (somewhat hidden in case that’s useful to you) veggies and wrapped in Dinner on the Table’s signature shortcrust pastry.

Cook directly from frozen for around 30-40mins (ovens vary wildly, so check frequently) until golden brown on the outside and piping hot on the inside.

One size (two pasties), feeds 2 adults, or one exceptionally hungry person. Ill mannered seagulls not included.

Ingredients: Beef mince, flour, onion, carrot, celery, peas, butter, egg, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, vegetable stock (housemade), garlic, sugar, salt, ground fennel, dried oregano
