For this recipe I give all thanks and due respect to Daz, neighbour and cook extraordinaire who created it. Cinnamon is a big deal in our house, used to adorn pretty much anything. Here it is teamed with generous chunks of apple and a delicious crumbly brown sugar topping.
This is a lovely moist cake which sits most happily on a dessert plate. I should tell you that we have forced ourselves to eat it at other times of the day (afternoon tea, supper, morning tea…), so please don’t allow me to prescribe when it should be eaten. Just know that you’ll be happy when you do.
Serve warm or cold with custard or ice-cream… and I’ll pass on your gratitude to Daz. Suitable for a low sodium version.
